Online chord synthesizer: play harmony with AirChord

AirChord is a playable chord synthesizer in your browser. Seven pads follow the selected key and scale, letting you explore harmony without placing every note separately. Use it alone in Jam or alongside the AirBeat drum machine.

Play and record a chord phrase

  1. Open the studio, choose Jam and find AirChord. Select a key, scale and sound. Tap a chord pad to hear it; audio needs your first interaction.
  2. Start in Chord mode, then try Strum for staggered notes or Arpeggio for a repeated note pattern. Drone and Lead offer two other ways to perform.
  3. Turn on Reverb, Delay or Chorus and adjust the effect amount. Keep the level modest while comparing settings. Undo can restore an earlier edit without discarding a separately recorded AirLooper phrase.
  4. Use Record in AirLooper to capture your pad performance. Play the phrase back, then Save the project file. To build a composition, switch to AirStudio and capture the phrase into a chord block.

From playable harmony to repeatable phrases

The seven chord pads and joystick let you change chord colours and voicings. Key and scale determine the musical context.

ChordSequencer places chord degrees or rests across 16 steps. Tie, Gate and Swing control connections and timing; Arpeggio has its own direction and rate settings.

AirLooper records the instrument's note events, not microphone audio. MIDI input is optional and depends on browser support and permission.

Try a familiar progression

In C major, play pads 6, 4, 1 and 5 for Am–F–C–G. Compare the same progression in Chord and Strum, then record one version in AirLooper. This is a starting exercise, not an automatic song generator.

Questions and answers

Is this an online piano?

Not a conventional piano keyboard. AirChord focuses on chord pads, voicings, performance modes and sequencing.

Can drums and chords play together?

Yes. Jam lets you perform over the drum loop. AirStudio uses a shared transport and BPM for arrangement playback; it owns sequencing in that mode.

Does changing the interface language rename my music?

No. Project names, block names and your saved preset names remain your data. The language control changes interface text, not those names.
