Online drum machine: make your first beat
AirBeat is a free 16-step drum machine inside AirBeat.ru. Build a loop with six synthesized drum tracks, change the feel with Swing, and combine it with AirChord or an arrangement. No installation or account is required.

Make a four-on-the-floor beat
- Open the studio and choose Jam. Select Clear in AirBeat if you want to start with an empty pattern; this edit can be undone.
- Turn on Kick steps 1, 5, 9 and 13. Add Snare on 5 and 13, then Hi-hat on the odd-numbered steps. The 16 steps make one bar of 4/4 at sixteenth-note resolution.
- Press Play on AirBeat. Adjust BPM, listen to the loop and try a small amount of Swing. Pause keeps your position; Stop resets playback.
- Open Banks & Kits to keep variations in banks A–D, or use Share pattern to copy a link. Save downloads a complete project backup.
Shape the groove, not just the grid
Kick, Snare, Hi-hat, Clap, Perc and Cymbal each offer at least four sound choices. The mixer provides track Level and Pan, Mute and Solo.
Velocity changes hit strength. Probability makes selected steps less predictable, and Roll divides a step into repeated hits. These settings belong to the pattern bank.
Four banks hold different patterns and Swing settings. Chain can repeat a chosen bank order in Jam. Capture AirBeat copies a pattern into an Arrangement block.
A small variation worth hearing
Keep the kick steady, lower the velocity of alternating hi-hats, then add one quiet Perc hit near the end of the bar. Save it in bank B rather than replacing your original groove. Switching banks while Jam plays waits for a bar boundary.
Questions and answers
Is AirBeat a sample uploader?
No. The drum sounds are synthesized in your browser. You choose the built-in sound variants; there is no sample-import feature.
Does a pattern link share my whole project?
No. It includes the current AirBeat pattern, sounds, mixer, dynamics and Jam tempo, not your project name, other banks, AirChord or Arrangement. The receiver previews it before applying it.
How do I export the beat?
Capture the pattern into Arrangement and use the project export controls for WAV audio or MIDI notes. MIDI uses approximate General MIDI drum mappings, not the synthesized sounds and effects.
